Exploring Modern Agriculture! Ratsada School (Trang) Visits Science Labs and Smart Melon Farms
On January 13, 2026, teachers and students from Ratsada School, Trang Province, conducted a study visit to explore modern agricultural innovations (Smart Farming). The visit focused on advanced science laboratories and demonstration melon plantations, aiming to provide students with hands-on experience and a clear vision of technology integration in the agricultural sector.

Elevating Learning: From Theory to Practice
The primary objective of this field trip was to allow students to witness “Science and Technology” in action within the agricultural field. The activities were divided into two main sessions:

Science Laboratory Tour: Students learned about soil analysis, water quality testing, and tissue culture techniques. These processes are essential for crop improvement, ensuring plants are resilient and disease-free.

Melon Demonstration Farm Visit: The group explored greenhouse management systems, temperature control, and precision automated irrigation. This showcased how modern farming reduces labor costs while significantly increasing crop yields and quality.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Smart Farmers
Representatives from Ratsada School stated that taking students out of the classroom to see real-world operations helps shift the perception of agriculture. It demonstrates that modern farming is no longer just manual labor, but rather an “Agri-Entrepreneurship” driven by data and technology.

“Seeing modern labs and digitally managed melon farms has sparked a great interest in agricultural science among our students. These are vital skills for future careers,” — a representative from the Ratsada School faculty remarked.

This visit marks a significant step in building educational networks between schools and specialized learning centers. It aims to cultivate youth who are ready to drive Thailand’s agricultural sector toward international standards.
