SAF Student Shines Globally: PhD Candidate Wins ‘Best International Student’ at Inaugural WUiDAY 2026
The School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry (SAF) at Walailak University celebrated a historic milestone at the inaugural “Walailak University International Day 2026 (WUiDAY 2026)”, held on July 9, 2026. Organised under the theme “BRIDGES”, the landmark event marked a major step in connecting global education networks and unlocking international opportunities for students.

The highlight of the event for SAF was the outstanding achievement of Mr. Qudrat Ullah, a PhD candidate in Agriculture and Food Science. He made history by winning the prestigious “Best International Student Award”, an accolade designed to honor international students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and outstanding extracurricular leadership.

The grand event drew ambassadors, diplomats, and representatives from partner universities across 10 countries worldwide. This success underscores Walailak University’s rising global profile, currently ranked 6th in Thailand and 47th globally for its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SAF continues to drive this vision forward, empowering international talent to advance agricultural innovation on a global scale.
