Volunteer Spirit in Action: SAF Walailak Drives the “Kla Dee Volunteer Camp” to Transform the Rama IX Agricultural Innovation Center into a Sustainable Learning Hub
On September 2, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Jantira Wongnern, along with students from the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry (SAF) at Walailak University, organized the “Kla Dee Volunteer Camp.” The youth volunteer initiative aimed to clean and landscape the surrounding areas of the King Rama IX Agricultural Demonstration and Innovation Center, elevating it into a scenic, green, and welcoming space for agricultural education.
The initiative focused on instilling public-mindedness, teamwork, and civic responsibility. Faculty members and students engaged in weeding, pruning branches, collecting waste, revitalizing demonstration plots, and restoring ecological cleanliness. Beyond preparing practical demonstration areas for upcoming study visits and local agricultural technology transfers, the effort visibly reflected the King’s Philosophy and sustainable working principles applied to tangible community development.
The School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry remains committed to nurturing well-rounded graduates by pairing academic excellence with hands-on, real-world experience. The “Kla Dee Volunteer Camp” not only enhanced the environment of the demonstration center into an inspiring learning hub, but also cultivated a shared spirit of service, empowering students to graduate as compassionate changemakers dedicated to sustainable societal development.
