On 26 November 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Warin Intana, acting dean of the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, Walailak University revealed that participate of the team “Tricho-Orga-Soil Miracle Soil for Plant Immunity consisting of Mr. Ritikrai Masmek, Mr. Nantawat Warintharawet and Mr. Jetsada Suebkraphan, School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry and Mr. Premsak Thanomsak, the School of Management. Associate Professor Dr. Warin Intana and Mr. Asmadee Mana, an academician at Walai Biocontrol Co., Ltd. as consultants. Participated in the Higher Education Innovation Contest at the Thailand Research Expo 2021, which was attended by teams of students from various universities across the country.

As a result, “Tricho-Orga-Soil” team has won 2 awards: 1. Gold Medal Award and 2. Very Good Award” for innovation in higher education of the year 2021 at the Thailand Research Expo 2021 and received 15,000 baht with gold medal trophies and certificates.

Mr. Ritikrai Masmek, one of the team members Tricho-orga-soil said he was proud to represent by Walailak University, participate in the competition on the national stage. The product named “Tricho-Orga-Soil” developed from ordinary soil to have the ability for prevent diseases and to build immunity to plants. Meet the point of farmers who are facing the problem of weak and inferior crops. In addition, Tricho-orga-soil it is also a planting soil that rich in all major nutrients and protect plants and also has the ability to build and stimulate the immune system for plants. There is also Trichoderma species NST-009 that can control fungal diseases.
