WU SAF Welcomes Indonesian Students for Hands-On Smart Farming Workshop
August 7, 2026 – The School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry (SAF) at Walailak University reinforced its commitment to global education by hosting exchange students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for an exclusive hands-on workshop at the Demonstrative Center (Kla Dee).
The study visit provided an interactive learning experience beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Ms. Wandee Onnom, an agricultural technical officer at the center, served as the main instructor, guiding students through practical sessions on salad vegetable seedling propagation and advanced cultivation techniques for Alpha melons.
This initiative highlights SAF’s focus on practical training with modern facilities, building international academic networks, and preparing the next generation of smart farmers and agricultural experts for the global stage.
