WU Ag-Tech Students Unite for ‘Kla Dee Volunteer Camp’ to Restore Coastal Mangroves in Ban Sa Bua
The Student Club of the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, Walailak University, organized the "Kla Dee Volunteer Camp: Mangrove Reforestation" project on September 5, 2026, at Ban Sa Bua, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The initiative brought together students and faculty to restore coastal ecosystems and instill public consciousness.
The activity was strongly supported by the Thai Sea Watch Association and the Ban Sa Bua local conservation network, who facilitated the venue and provided practical knowledge on mangrove biodiversity, coastal erosion prevention, and sustainable marine resource management.
Participants worked hands-on to plant mangrove saplings along the muddy shoreline, expanding local green spaces and directly contributing to environmental preservation. The project served not only as ecological restoration but also as an immersive learning ground outside the classroom. Students engaged directly with the community, sharing meaningful experiences and passing forward goodwill to nature, reflecting the School’s commitment to producing socially and environmentally responsible graduates.
