The students of the Plant Science Program take a field trip at Smart farming – PJ garden and The Agricultural Community Learning Center-Khlong Hoi Khong Research Station, Songkhla Province.

On January 10, 2020, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Walailak University led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Somsak Maneepong and Dr. Athakorn Promwee, the expert master of the Agriculture and Innovation Department took the sophomore and junior students of the Plant Science Program to study excursions about the Smart Farming system at 2 different locations.
The first place was at PJ Garden-Khuan Lang, Hat Yai, Songkhla. They were warmly received by Mr. Prasert Srirasan, who clearly presents about 4.0integrated smart farming-online agriculture. The system implementation IoT (Internet of Things) for garden management can control the irrigation system, humidity check (the air and ground) via mobile phones directly.The last place was at The Agricultural Community Learning Center-Khlong Hoi Khong Research Station, Songkhla Province. Our students studied fertilizer management in hydroponic via automatic mixing and dispensing systems. Moreover, they concentrated on the sensors inside the greenhouse such as temperature, light intensity, relative humidity, etc.
