Agricultural Innovation Development and Demonstration Center in Honor of Rama 9 (Kla Dee Shop)
Background and importance
School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry Was assigned by Walailak University to operate an agricultural innovation demonstration and development center in honor of King Rama IX For the purpose of bringing the royal initiative of King Rama IX to be a practical guideline for empirical results. including the use of innovation or semi-innovation in agriculture that will follow the framework and direction of the country, namely Thailand 4.0 Emphasis on production according to organic farming methods. There is proper postharvest management. processing of produce and selling products and processed products to earn money back in the right amount and time including the cooperation of farmers who are interested in selling their produce
In addition, the center This will be a place for study visits. and learn the importance of farmers, students, and general people who are interested in studying, training and learning the body of knowledge and adopting the new theory of agriculture according to the royal initiative for sustainable livelihoods of farmers and those interested in agriculture
The area of the Agricultural Innovation Development Demonstration Center is 10 farm, divided into production areas as follows:
1. the plant side
organic vegetable production with vegetable cultivation Innovation of vertical crops by using planting material that is the result of research from the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry. Innovative rice cultivation using less water Cultivation of organic fruit trees, herbs, passion fruit, grapes, melons, oil palm, seed development and production.
2. animal side
Raising economic animals by producing organic animal feed. Testing for farming with economic animals using organic food, e.g. raising duck eggs. together with fish farming
3. aquaculture
Raising red tilapia in cages Test feeding innovations by regulated automatic fish feeders using solar power. Cultivation of plants with aquaponics
4. processing
Bringing the products produced from the center Processed for sale such as tilapia sausage, salted egg
Fresh Vegetables, Gac Ice Cream Gac Yogurt Fruit cider/fermented vinegar
Selling products through Kla Dee stores Model company of the student club of the School of Agricultural Technology and food industry
